USActive is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives through sports. Our mission is to expand access to quality youth sports by offering after-school soccer and volleyball classes for children ages 5 to 15 who lack financial resources. We also provide education on safe and healthy sports-related play.
Youth sports are a powerful platform for character development, helping kids build essential life skills like teamwork, confidence, and perseverance. Studies show that physically active children tend to do better academically, socially, and emotionally—and sports have long been a gateway to a healthier, more engaged lifestyle.
But in the last two decades, youth sports have become a $17 billion industry. Today, families spend an average of over $900 per child, per year, on participation costs—including registration fees, uniforms, equipment, and travel. This rising expense has left many low-income families without access to structured, high-quality sports programs.
USActive was created to change that. We help bridge the gap by offering free after-school classes to kids who would otherwise be excluded from sports. Our programs provide a safe and supportive environment, experienced coaches, and a strong sense of community. Beyond physical activity, we emphasize motivation, life skills, injury prevention, and the importance of nutrition and wellness—ensuring that every child can thrive through the power of play.
